Digital remembrance, handled with care
PastKeep helps funeral homes capture accessible public memories and prepare a private, elegant archive for family and friends—without uploading personal media to our servers.
In loving memory of
1948 — 2026
Made for a sensitive moment
Technology should recede.
The person should remain.
PastKeep turns scattered public posts, photographs, and videos into one calm, portable place for remembrance.
A considered workflow
Designed for funeral-home teams. Simple enough to use without technical training, careful enough for the responsibility.
Add the person’s name, dates, and your funeral home’s white-label identity.
Add accessible Instagram, Facebook, or X profiles. PastKeep saves available media locally.
See files arrive as the capture runs, with clear status, cancellation, and safe retry controls.
Create the family memorial and a separate technical companion, then export with checksum verification.
Inside PastKeep
The desktop app keeps the essentials clear: create the case, confirm local storage, and move through each archive without technical clutter.

Private by architecture
PastKeep is a local-first desktop application. Captured photographs, videos, metadata, and generated memorials remain on the funeral home’s computer and chosen storage.

Delivered memorials open in a modern browser without an account, server, or internet connection.
External-drive exports are independently checksummed after copying.
Original source files and capture documentation stay outside the family-facing memorial.

Private pilot
PastKeep is currently trial-only while we work closely with a small number of funeral homes. There is no payment method or subscription commitment.
Pilot access
Experience the complete workflow with one family archive. Selected pilot partners may receive additional case access directly from our team.
Commercial plans and payment providers will be announced after the pilot. Archives already delivered to families remain locally readable.
About Shidin
We’re two developers who enjoy turning thoughtful ideas into useful, focused software.
PastKeep began with a simple question: how can we preserve a person’s public digital memories without turning remembrance into another cloud service? We built a local-first tool that keeps the funeral home in control and gives families something calm, private, and lasting.
